Most people assume that admissions counseling is merely helping a student with his or her college applications, but it is SO MUCH MORE. We meet with students as early as the summer before Sophomore year to help shape their resume by recommending targeted programs that will showcase their passions and interests.
We work with schools (not against them) and supplement the work of guidance counselors to help our students gain acceptances into their dream schools.

- Pinpoint a student’s passions and interests and help create academic and extra-curricular plans that showcase those passions.
- Careful selection of high school courses.
- Offer guidance in compilation of portfolios for writing, art, music, theater, and athletics.
- Identify weaknesses in the student’s transcript and resume and strategize methods to remedy those areas.
- Aid in the selection of summer activities, community service, employment, internships, independent projects, and athletic opportunities.
- Creation of checklists and schedules for college visits.
- Develop brag and activity sheets or resumes.
- Outline both preliminary and final college lists, organize those lists into reach, target, and safety schools, and identify an early decision school, when applicable.
- Brainstorm and edit personal statements and essays.
- Strategize appropriate standardized testing schedules and college visit schedules.
- Assist in communication with college representatives, professors and coaches.
- Hone interview skills with videotaped mock interviews.
- Create manageable application timetable.
