Meet the Founder

Jessica founded The Edge in New York in 2005, just over a year after graduating from the Woodrow Wilson School for Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, from which she garnered the hallowed Susan M. Huffman Senior Thesis Prize.  She was also honored with the Women with Wings Award, bestowed upon the 25 most influential women at Princeton.  While at Princeton, she tutored for the SAT for four years and then accepted a Site Director position at a well-known SAT preparation company based in New York after graduating.  She worked there for over a year and coordinated three of the largest courses in New York with nearly 500 students altogether.

She just celebrated the 6 year anniversary of The Edge, which is now operating throughout the New York Tri-State area, London, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, South Florida, and Silicon Valley. She plans to continue The Edge’s expansion with developing educational software platforms for other standardized tests as well as K-12 academic subjects.

Jessica is an active volunteer with V-day and has coordinated annual events since 2001 to raise money to end violence against women and girls around the world.  Lastly, she is an active member of NACAC (the National Association of College Admissions Counselors) and ECIS (the European Council of International Schools), and is a six-year member of the Princeton Schools Committee, which coordinates interviews for prospective undergraduates.
